First off the siemens speedstream 6520 is hard to use……….but after you figure it out it has alot of features it even has????D-DNS (dynamic DNS), Advanced firewall features, Port forwarding and even uPNP.

If you have been struggling to forward a port with the speedstream 6520 I have your solution!

I have been trying to do it for around two-weeks now and been checking forums and boards everywhere! I haven’t been able to find the solution in one place, there are two things that need to happen for port forwarding to work in the speedstream 6520. First off you need to disable uPNP, with uPNP enabled for some reason with this router port forwarding, firewall changes, pretty much anything doesn’t work right. Of course you will lose uPNP funtionality but who the heck cares! The second thing after you make any changes on this router you need to reboot it. Ther reason is bcause when it writes the config file the router doesn’t use until reboot!

????Two things you need to do to make port forwarding work on speedstream 6520:

1. Turn off uPNP
2. Reboot router after changes

Thats it………
